Better Homes Ottawa is the City of Ottawa's low-interest home energy loan: up to the lesser of $125,000 or 10% of your home's value, over 20 years, repaid through your property-tax bill. It covers solar, batteries and other upgrades, and stacks with the provincial rebate.

The program is the City's equivalent of Toronto's HELP. It is administered with EnviroCentre and was capitalised with Federation of Canadian Municipalities Green Municipal Fund money and private capital[2].
